Vacancy for Holsworthy Youth Treasurer
At our recent Committee Meeting Bev Birch submitted her resignation as Club Treasurer. Bev has been Treasurer for 6 years and prior to the Club Committee being formed, she had solely dealt with all the Club's affairs. Bev has done an excellent job during that time and has agreed to continue to the end of the season. Her final duties will be to finalise the Accounts for our AGM and assist the new Treasurer as and when required.
Bev will be continuing as Youth Welfare Officer for the foreseeable future, along side Esther Rowe who is in the process of completing the relevant qualifications. It is hoped Esther will be fully qualified before the end of this season.
I am therefore contacting everyone to see if they are interested in taking on the role of Treasurer.
I have outlined below some of the duties which Bev undertakes. If you are interested you can telephone me on 07795311688 to discuss it further or alternatively you can speak to our Club Secretary, Marilyn on 01409 253198.

For the second year running the chairman will have the support of a youth committee. Within the committee are team representatives for the youth teams enabling a support system for the Managers. The committee members discussed the increasing costs of training and outgoings for the club. Player subscriptions had remained the same for some 5 years and it was a general feeling to increase subscriptions by £10. This still only equates to £1.50 per training session!
The Committee also agreed to increase fundraising for 2011/12 to help with club expenditure. Please keep an eye out for fundraising events throughout the season.
A generous donation had been received from the staff of Holsworthy Hospital, which was gratefully received.
Adam Green of Andigestion has kindly agreed to sponsor a new kit for the Under 15's and the committee greatly appreciates his ongoing support.
General matters arising included kit and equipment rotation and repair, bullying, club finances and the new seasons training schedules. Managers and committee members addressed these issues and the A.G.M came to a close.
The Holsworthy Youth officers and committee members would like to invite players old and new to the training sessions starting in mid August. Details will be available shortly at www.holsworthyafc.co.uk or on the 'Holsworthy Youth Football' page on Facebook or by contacting a youth officer.
